The fish was amazing, perfectly cooked and tender. The staff and especially the sommelier were helpful and made us feel looked after. My only critique is that the balance of flavours tended to be a little bit too sour/acidic, hence me giving four instead of five stars.
Fuh kin great is mega. Easy to order, everyone was super nice when I picked it up and I had the food after 2 minutes.
Wonderful visit and great taste I recommend it
Brilliant. A masterpiece of a dinner.
Unfortunately a disappointment! 8 courses, 4 of which are good, the rest either too salty, too sour or too sweet. Service: a complaint was "passed on", in a restaurant of this class I expect a reaction from the kitchen. When asked, a sloppy "shouldn't happen" .... done ?? Ambience: an oversized picture with garbage bags on it is, with all understanding of art, simply unsavory. Menu, without an alcoholic drink, only water + a coffee / tea to go with it, we paid 250 € per person - it's definitely not worth it. We will not come back.
The well-known restaurant of the famous 2-Michelin-starred chef Tim Raue is located in the center of Berlin, very close to the Charlie checkpoint.
Wow, wow, wow. Point done. Our second visit to a two-star restaurant led us to Tim Raue after Opus V in Mannheim. We had the lunch menu. You can't eat better for the price. Very discreet service, delicious food and good wines. What more do you want. The next time we visit the capital, we'll be back.
A nice evening. The service staff are all very, very friendly. The food was great. A real experience. We booked the accompanying wine and apart from one wine (it was a kind of tomato liqueur wine) they were all very tasty. They even said goodbye with a small present. We felt very comfortable with you. Thank you for this special evening.
There's really nothing to add beyond what people say about this place: Its a two star restaurant, and you get what you pay for. A really extensive wine list as well. Definitely worth a stop. One point which is worth mentioning (but not worth reducing the rating by a star) is the fact that because of the Covid curfew, dinner felt somewhat rushed. There's really nothing the restaurant can do about that though.
Thank you Tim Raue for this wonderful experience. I run a restaurant myself and my cook encouraged me to immerse myself in his world. For several years he was head chef for three restaurants in Berlin and learned exactly this craft. That was also the reason to go to the restaurant "Tim Raue" in Berlin. A relaxed restaurant with a focus on service and enjoyment. Everything was perfect! Thanks to the entire team.
Really exceptionally good food, but the service still manages to top it off. The 6-course menu costs € 188 per person. You are not only inspired, but also full. Open wines are available between € 12-18 per glass.
Wonderful evening with a relaxed atmosphere, great food and fantastic wine. We swapped the pigeon for the Peking duck in the 8-course menu and added the Norway lobster. Perfect 👌🏻 Gladly again ...
Truly special place. A perfect example of fine dining; The meals were expertly cooked and gracefully yet professionally served in a the sedate and tranquille atmosphere
We had another unforgettable evening on September 18, 2020 - thank you very much!
Had lunch here and the staff was very accommodating, as we were a party of 3 but only 2 of us arrived on time - the 3rd only being able to come half an hour later. Had the four course menu with the addition of the recommend wasabi langoustine dish. My favourite of all dishes ended up being the dessert (usually not a dessert person), I would recommend this dish as well as the lamb dish that my sister got. The wagyu is very rich and tender, and the langoustine is delicious but quite wasabi heavy. I would like to conclude with saying that the service was exceptional, especially my table’s waiter (didn’t catch his name unfortunately).
Had high expectations going in, safe to say tim Raue definitely met them! They truly earned ‘worlds top 50’. Was a big fan of the desserts, well crafted and not overly sweet. Would recommend the lamb and the langoustine; but be weary the langoustine has a strong wasabi flavour.
This restaurant needs no introduction. It's radical transformation to Asian flavors gives a glimpse into the character of the chef. With it's provocative decor (Giant images of trash bags) and bold flavors, Time Raue flips the script of fine dining on its head. This is evident in the very first bite the chef recommends - Sichuan bacon among 8 other subtle appetizers on the table. The iconic Peking duck comes in 3 variations - soup, cold bite-sized duck liver preparation and duck breast with crispy skin. This was by far the highlight of the meal, however, comes only as an add-on to the set menu. Some dishes crave sauces and some sauces crave balance. Although there is an element of surprise in the progression of the meal, it feels hindered with some average tasting dishes, especially the dishes you least expect to fail (wagyu steak in my case). With the hit-and-miss nature of the meal, one can't help but think that it's far from perfect and has a long way to go. Overall, I would recommend to give it a try for the positives but remember, this isn't for everyone.
It seems cool how can I find the best of him
Michelin starred restaurant that exceeds ur expectations. A restaurant is only as good as the staff it employs and the staff at Tim’s are just great. The dishes well it’s a 2 star Michelin so they live up and go beyond the realms of creativity. Great place for any special event or date night or just the best of fine dining.
No nicer present after the wedding and a wonderful culinary experience! Through and through the best cuisine that I have been able to experience so far. Kudos and thanks to Mr. Raue & Team for this culinary delight 😋👍🍽🍷🍾
It was tasty, but not amazing for me. I would recommend it if you are into high-quality cuisine. I wasn't full myself and I also found it strange that the waitress was constantly standing next to us. Attention is great and desired, but I was watching and feeling pressured. The mouth wasn't empty yet, but the plate was already gone🤷♀️ ...
Very very good food and surprising tastes! Everyone who loves and enjoys good food should visit. The restaurant belongs to one of Germany’s best chefs (2 Michelin stars)!
The restaurant is actually very tastefully furnished. No cheap decoration, instead the colors were very nicely matched to each other. The staff worked quickly, neatly and nicely. There it has never happened to me that a dish was not warm on the table. The choice of drinks leaves nothing to be desired. It's always nice and we had a great afternoon here.
After a very long break and a number of accumulated unpublished, tasty journeys, the following review (unfortunately) pushed through. First of all, a big compliment to the very attentive, relaxed and consistently professional service staff. Keep it up! Now to the real dilemma. We went to the most famous house in Berlin full of anticipation. After some experience in the field of star gastronomy, the long-cherished dream should come true. However, the joy didn't last very long after the first few courses had passed the table. All dishes were marked by such a massive acidity that you didn't know whether this was a mistake or whether you had a personal problem with us. All courses were affected except the Wagyu and Wasabi Norway lobster. Even in the desserts, I feel that coconut vinegar drowned out any components. The typical taste that arises during vinegar fermentation left little space for the actual main characters. Another annoying point was the omnipotent accompaniment of coriander, which found itself in the dessert. It is clear that this is a matter of taste. I would like to be informed about this in the map. Finally, I would like to briefly explain why I find the whole thing so strange. Herr Raue's kitchen shouldn't please everyone. It should toast and challenge, which is perfectly fine. However, when I compare what I eat with the recipes from his book "My Way", it seems to me like two different cooking styles. The factors mentioned above made the menu very monotonous. Everything is leveled and the components take a back seat, which more than disappointed me. Due to the experience I personally cannot recommend the restaurant. It is possible that we had just missed a very bad day, which as a rule does not / should not happen in a restaurant of this class.
A very good restaurant with atypical and surprising flavors. The staff are very friendly, and the setting is sober, sometimes with a desire to "shock" the customer with elements that one would not imagine in an upscale restaurant (a table of trash bags for example). The price is well worth the moment spent. The pigeon and the beef were a bit too salty, otherwise I would have put 5 stars.
Probably the best dining experience I've had so far. Due to the corona situation, both the restaurant above and the lower (usually private dining room) area were used. We were seated downstairs, which was a shame at first, but didn't make our visit worse in any way. The location is furnished to a very high standard, the service is super pleasant, the food arrived at the right speed, very attentive, simply great! The food more than exceeded my expectations (which were already high). Worlds of taste that I didn't know and that were very surprising. We ordered both the Signature Menu (+ Wasabi Norway Lobster and Peking Duck in 3 courses) and the Menu-8, so we could try almost everything 😁. In addition to the fantastic food, we also opted for the wine accompaniment (rather drink accompaniment), which was also fantastic and contains sake and a beer in addition to wine 😃 One of the things that particularly impressed me was the coordination between the sometimes special wines and the food - this is how I imagine a perfect wine accompaniment. Overall, we paid around € 800 for the evening (5 hours) including aperitif, menu, accompanying wine, espresso, digestif and a wine at the end - certainly not a meal that you can regularly afford, but the visit was so worth it and is more than worth the money! An experience that I will certainly not forget and will continue to talk about it often.
Incredibly good restaurant with no flaws. The service was extremely competent and very nice, and you never had to wait long, in short, not only nothing to complain about but excellent. The food was consistently convincing and was first class.
Obviously 5 star, amazing food. Everything was perfect. I'm sure you know the prices before you go in.
Extremlly good 2 michelin stars asian food restaurant, we took the lunch tasting memu and it was so unique
In the lunch menu we had five courses plus the two signature dishes of Norway lobster and Peking duck. It was all perfect. The food was fantastic and so was the wine. The staff - and we probably had 10 different ones - all friendly, attentive and uncomplicated. An afternoon that I will definitely remember for a long time.
One word: wow! Great 2 star Michelin food with very distinct Asian influences. Everything fits: taste, look, menu build up. Fine dining at its best
Great! The food is an experience, the decor imaginative and the service excellent ...
Proffesional service!
One of the best restaurants in Germany. Einfach das Beste. Amazing food, good ambience and perfect service. Highly recommended.
Simply great. An all-round skilful work of art made of tasty food with very special flavors and unusual combinations, perfect service and a little "show" - we had a really special birthday evening - happy, full, drunk and poor 😉
his is in all perspectives a top restaurant and one of the best in Berlin.
Eating here was an incredible experience unlike any other. Every single dish was an adventure. And every element on the plate taken alone amazing, but in combination with the surrounding elements an explosion of flavour which we will remember forever. Thank you Chef Raue and the team.
Friendly and helpful staff
I had so much fun. Lots of exotic citruses and Eastern influences - wild combinations. The amuse bouche pieces were all so varied, the baby bok choy being my favorite! A lot of bitter notes, and a little bit of everything where meat is concerned, the Veal being the coup de gras of the signature menu (6 courses).
I'm only going to talk about the vegan menu here (my friend had the normal menu and enjoyed it). I didn't expect a lot from the vegan menu as most chefs who concentrate on fish and meat have little idea on how to make vegan and vegetarian food interesting. This being said, the 6 plate vegan menu was just a succession of dishes that tasted mostly the same and just changed in color. The food itself was mostly flavorless, while the sauces were just plain weird and not tasteful. Tim Raue is supposedly famous for creating food with intense taste, but the sauces reminded me of when I was a kid and decided to cook and reduce as many Asian souces as possible together. Maybe the fish and meat were the highlight of the restaurant, but I would have expected a Michelin chef to at least make vegan food eatable.
Asian cuisine served by one of Germany's best chef Tim Raue. Modern presentation of meals, colorful and balanced tastes. Service on a high level with attention to the last detail. Light and modern interior with Asian decoration elements. Each course has its own identity, salmon with light acidity, langustine with a bit of wasabi fuel, and wagyu with vigor in the taste of meat. Dessert inspired by Asian ingredient in European style. Very nice experience in Berlin
Not bad - but the prices are a bit high for Berlin, even though this is a fine dining restaurant. I would have liked more substantial portion sizes, as well. I'm not a fan of the hyper chic tiny portion sizes that a lot of modern fine dining restaurants seem to be obsessed with.
Very good
Absolutely amazing... The best dinner I eat in Berlin :) Highly recommend .
Love this place
We were visiting from Australia and really had a great experience at this restaurant. We loved most dishes and were impressed by the wonderful service. The decor is stylish and there was a lovely ambience.
Exquisite food, bursting with flavours of citrus and pepper. The staff made me feel very welcome even though I was dining alone. If I have a better cooked artichoke in my life, I'll be surprised. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our dinner and were impressed by the delicious food! An extremely talented team in the kitchen enchanted us with perfectly balanced and complex aromas, a healthy portion of spiciness and first-class ingredients. On top the courteous, unpretentious service ensures that we will gladly come back.
Our table have been set aside for my sister's birthday, she really was excited and the place looked wonderful. Cannot recommend the staff extremely enough - often approachable and very helpful. Eveything tasted great, no problems from us. Really like this place, not too expensive. Sister and I stopped here during a shopping trip, lovely food and speedy service.
Some of the best food I’ve ever had.
